About Prestige

Prestige is Klivii's full board-style trivia game: you compete with Nova, Milo, and Zara across two five-category rounds, hidden Prestige Doubles, and a wagered Final Prestige. Control of the board changes hands after correct responses, so category knowledge and buzzer judgment matter as much as raw recall.

How to play

A randomly chosen contestant opens the board. When you control it, choose one of the five dollar values under a category.
Read the clue, buzz in, and answer within your 20-second response window. A miss reopens the clue so another contestant can steal it.
Phrase typed answers as a question, such as 'What is Mars?' or 'Who is Aretha Franklin?' The answer checker also recognizes listed aliases.
Finish round one, play round two at doubled clue values, then set a wager and answer the 50-second Final Prestige clue.

Controls and rules

Select a board square only when your name controls the board; computer contestants make their own picks when they have control.
Use the large buzzer before entering an answer. Supported browsers can use microphone input, and a text-answer mode is available when speech recognition is unavailable or unwanted.
Prestige Double and Final Prestige screens include wager controls; submit the wager or final response before its timer expires.
Pause stops active game timers and audio. Separate Rules, SFX, and Music controls remain available around the board.

Tips

Do not buzz on recognition alone: an incorrect response costs the full clue value, while waiting may let a computer miss and give you a steal attempt.
Use the $200 and $400 clues to learn a category's wording before committing to its $800 or $1,000 squares.
Keep a ready-made question-form prefix in mind. A factually correct noun without 'Who is,' 'What is,' or another accepted question opening is marked wrong.
Protect a lead on a Prestige Double; when trailing, a larger wager can be the cleanest way back into the game.

Scoring and objective

A correct response adds the displayed clue value and an incorrect response subtracts it. Round-two values are twice the printed base values. A Prestige Double uses the wager instead of the square value, and Final Prestige adds or removes each contestant's final wager before naming the highest score.

FAQ

Why was my correct Prestige answer rejected?

Player responses must be phrased as a question. Start with an accepted form such as 'What is,' 'Who is,' or 'Where is,' then give the answer. The checker ignores articles and punctuation and accepts the aliases stored with a clue, but it cannot infer a completely different name.

Can I play Prestige without granting microphone access?

Yes. Switch to text-answer mode and type the response. Voice input is an optional browser feature, not a requirement for playing the board.

How many Prestige Doubles are in a game?

There is one hidden Prestige Double in each of the two main rounds. It appears only after that square is selected, and only the contestant who controls the square answers it.

Does Prestige save a paused game?

Pause freezes the current in-page game, but the board is not a long-term saved game. Keep the page open if you intend to resume the same match.
