About Ichi

Ichi is Klivii's four-player color-and-action card game against Nova, Milo, and Zara. Everyone begins with seven cards, legal cards glow on your turn, and the first player to empty a hand wins through color matching, number or action matching, wild color changes, and optional same-card stacks.

How to play

  • Match the current color, the same number, or the same action symbol; a Wild or Wild +4 can be played regardless of color.
  • When the interface offers a stack, choose which matching cards to play together and confirm their order. Wild stacks also require a new color unless they empty your hand.
  • Use Skip, Reverse, +2, and Wild +4 to redirect turns or build a draw penalty. During a pending penalty, eligible action cards are highlighted as possible counters.
  • Empty your hand before the three computer opponents. The game automatically announces Ichi when any hand falls to one card.

Controls and rules

  • Tap a glowing card to play it. Dimmed cards are illegal for the current discard color or pending draw state.
  • Tap the deck to draw. If the single card is playable, play that newly drawn card or tap the deck again to pass; other cards stay locked for that decision.
  • If a draw stack reaches you, tap the deck once per penalty card until the counter reaches zero unless an eligible +2, +4, Skip, or Reverse response is available.
  • Wild cards open a Ruby, Sun, Mint, and Sky color picker. Restart, SFX, and Music controls sit above your hand.

Tips

  • Match by action as well as color. A Skip can follow another Skip and a Reverse can follow another Reverse even when their printed colors differ, unless a pending draw limits the response.
  • Stack duplicate numbers or actions when the picker offers them; shedding several cards at once is powerful, but consider which color the final stacked card will leave active.
  • Save a Wild for a hand with several colors, or use it to set the color you hold most often after the wild leaves your hand.
  • Watch the three opponent counts. A Skip or Reverse matters most when it keeps a one-card opponent from taking the next turn.
  • Newly drawn penalty cards are locked until the penalty is fully paid, so a card acquired in the middle of a draw stack cannot rescue that same penalty.

Scoring and objective

Ichi is won by position, not accumulated card points: the first hand to reach zero cards wins the deal. The result records a win or loss and reports how many turns the deal lasted.

FAQ

Do I need to press an Ichi button at one card?

No. This version announces Ichi automatically when any player goes from more than one card to exactly one, and announces Ichi out when that player empties the hand.

Which cards can answer a draw stack?

Wild +4 is always eligible. A +2 can answer another +2 or match the active color, while Skip and Reverse can redirect a pending draw when they match the active color. The glowing-card state is the final authority for the current turn.

Why does the deck say Pass after I draw?

You drew a card that can be played immediately. Play that specific card, or tap the deck labeled Pass to end your turn without playing it.

How many players are in Ichi?

Four: you plus three computer opponents named Nova, Milo, and Zara, each starting with seven cards.
